Building the Foundations for Healthy Aging

Hormone therapy is only one part of good menopause care. Dr Boyce places particular emphasis on the foundational health factors that influence how we feel today and how well we age — nutrition, physical fitness and muscle strength, sleep, stress regulation, metabolic health, social connection and other lifestyle factors.

Midlife provides an important opportunity to identify areas that may have been neglected during the demands of earlier life and to build habits that support strength, resilience, independence and long-term health.

These foundations are considered alongside hormone therapy rather than as an afterthought, with practical recommendations tailored to each woman’s circumstances, priorities and goals.

Care is collaborative and individualized. Our aim is not simply to treat the symptoms of menopause, but to use this important transition as an opportunity to help women feel well now and remain healthy, strong and active in the decades ahead.
